When we have compromised posterior teeth, we tend to avoid that side for eating that leads to TMJ problems. Otherwise we try to avoid hard food in a fear of losing or fracturing molar teeth. Even after crowns are done, if the root canal treatment is not performed well, the tooth destruction continues which necessitating teeth extraction and further replacement. Even in that scenerio, dental implants provide strong foundation for fixed crowns which will regain the chewing function as close to natural dentition. Now he can enjoy any food of his choice!
